Notes from Milan Fashion Week
I’m just back from Milan Fashion Week. And apart from a supply of aperitivo I brought fashion notes so you don’t regret not being invited. On a side note, I wasn’t too. I blame it on them for misspelling my zip code. Anyway…
I’ll cut to the core without flirtation. Because playfulness went out of fashion lately.

New black is…
In the upcoming season new black is… black.
It makes you look professional, understated and rather boring.
Black is a uniform for creative people, they say.
I say, they use uniform to erase your personality in freedom limiting establishments, like prisons and corporations, which is basically the same. How creative is that?
However, invasion seems to be a global trend lately. And now they want you to pay for the uniform yourself. Smart!
Just don’t make it too fit. Or don’t cry if you were taken for a sales assistant.
Go slightly oversized or you’ll get yelled at at Zara for moving too slow. You do work at Zara? Well…

Fashion freaks are legit
The ones who emerged in 80s. They are legends. Others, tone down.
Good news, they likely won’t be taken over by AI like our more refined sisters and brothers.
If you haven’t skipped this and still reading, I assume you’ll lose your head over the item bags from the brand whose name I’m not mentioning as they didn’t pay me for exposure. (
Others didn’t either. Don’t know what I was thinking.)
I’ll give you a hint, it’s a mastermind of playful irony who sells an apple box for almost 2k euros. And mind me, apples are not even organic or ethically produced.

Sexy is new smoking
Women fought their right to look serious. Congratulations to us!
I mean even Monica Bellucci was spotted at the show wearing a male suit.
Don’t mix gender-fluid with equal pay, though.
I’m not biting for giving away my sheer dresses and fur for an idea of power.
Not while the odds for winning elections for a woman stay as low as 16%. And even this number looks too optimistic.
My look is a protest. And they dare to say blondes are stupid. Not this atomic blonde!
Is there a dress-code for the first husband of the country anyway?..
This was a short summary I made during Milan Fashion Week while boasting my best angles so they finally can discover me.
I hope you made a right conclusion and will continue your day choosing to dress as your authentic self. If you are authentic. Others, tone down.
Cheers,
Salanta

If I saved you some time for greatness, send a little love
